Welcome to the Friendship Masonic Lodge Library

“As to their studies, it would be well if they could be  taught everything that is useful, and everything that is ornamental. But art is long, and their time is short. It is therefore propos’d that they learn those things that are likely to be most useful and most ornamental”– Brother Benjamin Franklin concerning the University of Pennsylvania

Continual education is a crucial aspect of the Masonic journey. Furthermore, this internal commitment is vital in making good men better. It is important for a man to be knowledgeable and have the freedom to expand his knowledge to best serve him and his community. A comprehensive study of the liberal arts and sciences empowers a Mason and his understanding of the world and people around him.

We welcome you to enjoy your time and study here.

In 2016 Friendship Lodge began building a library of lectures from The Great Courses. Hard copy resources in the form of DVDs and bound books are held in the Lodge, but free online streaming of our purchased lectures is available to all Friendship members.

Please enjoy this collection of study materials and lectures presented to Friendship by Brothers from within and abroad. Materials are divided according to the degrees to protect advanced knowledge of them, and not to indicate a strict requirement that these be learnt for the work of advancing in Masonry.
